I am an Associate Professor / Titular de Universidad at CUNEF Universidad, in Madrid. Before that I spent time at UC3M, EUI and Northwestern, where I got my Ph.D. I am also an affiliate of RedNIE and external faculty at CEMFI.

My main fields of research are Political Economy and Institutional Economics. I have published both empirical and theoretical papers, in places like The Economic Journal, Journal of Public Economics, American Political Science Review, Economic Theory, World Development, Journal of Politics and many others. Now, I have a R&R in International Economic Review and many new exciting projects.
