The Stop TB Partnership is leading the way to a world without tuberculosis (TB), a disease that is curable but still kills three people every minute.
Founded in 2001, the Partnership's mission is to serve every person who is vulnerable to TB and ensure that high-quality treatment is available to all who need it.
This organization grants funds to reach and treat people living with TB. It also works with communities
For nearly 100 years, The Union has drawn from the best scientific evidence and the skills, expertise and reach of our staff, consultants and membership in order to advance solutions to the most pressing public health challenges affecting people living in poverty around the world.
TB Alert is a young charity, registered in late 1998 and launched at the Houses of Parliament on World TB Day (24th March) 1999. The charity was set up by people who felt that with its long tradition of TB work, there should be a greater response in Britain to the resurgent threat of tuberculosis – which was declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization in 1993.
From 1995 to 2013, over 2 million dollars have been awarded for community projects and clinical or basic science research projects focusing on a broad range of pediatric and adult chronic health problems. The Firland Foundation awards grants supporting work in a variety of programs primarily related to tuberculosis and secondarily to chronic lung disease.
The TB Alliance's Stakeholders Association includes a range of institutions worldwide that share a clear interest, and a significant stake, in ensuring the development of a faster, better cure for tuberculosis. They include representatives from developing nations, government, NGOs, professional organizations, academia, foundations, and industry.
