Agito Transport Planning is to carry out local consultation to identify what people in parts of Salford want from their bus services.
A series of informal, drop-in public consultation sessions have been arranged, on behalf of Salford City Council, to inform the third, and final Phase, of an independent review of the bus network across the City.
The series of 8 sessions, through February 2017, will enable people to have a face-to-face discussion with Agito's Transport Planning team to talk about the issues with their local bus services. The feedback from the consultation will be used to support the City Council's future discussions with local bus operators and the transport authority to encourage bus service improvements, which will help to support the area’s regeneration and future economic development.
Phase 1 of the review was undertaken in March 2015, and the outcome of this has already contributed to some network improvements in the area. Phase 2 was conducted in February 2016.
The drop-in consultation is backed up by a dedicated email address - consultation@agito-llp - and a Twitter account - @salfordbustalk - allowing people who can't attend the drop-in sessions to have their say.
