December 2013
5000 copies of the Agito style easy-to-read train timetable has been produced and distributed by Friends of Heaton Chapel Station (FofHCS) for the timetable that‘s effective from 8th December 2013 until 17 May 2014.
Copies of the easy-to-read timetable can be found in dispensers provided by FofHCS located in the station’s booking office and on the platforms, as well as the Heaton Moor Medical Centre and a number of local businesses.
The timetable format, developed Roy McDonald of Agito, builds on the success of the trial version devised by Agito for FofHCS and launched in August 2013.
Roy explains, “The Agito style timetable format is certainly proving to be very popular with the many users of Heaton Chapel Station due to its handy credit card size, its simplicity and clarity, and the fact avoids intending passengers having to thumb through pages of timetable information, or columns of train times on timetable displays. It shows at a glance that there is a regular service of clock face departures.”
Clyde Raine, Chairman of FofHCS says, “The Agito timetable format certainly gets the thumbs up from us and all the passengers from the Four Heatons who use the busiest two platform suburban station in Greater Manchester. What’s more, FofHCS has agreed to produce further editions of the easy-to-read timetable twice a year for the foreseeable future, subject to funding and sponsorship from local businesses.”
