Agito has developed a credit card size, easy to read rail timetable for Friends of Heaton Chapel Station (FofHCS), to help passengers make the most of the fast and frequent train service that operates between Heaton Chapel and Manchester Piccadilly stations.
The easy to read timetable clearly shows all departures from Heaton Chapel to Manchester Piccadilly and vice versa for each day of the week, including Sundays.
Departure times are clearly set out in time order, including the first and last departures of each day, and highlights the clock face departure times throughout much of the day.
Phil Rowbotham of FofHCS says, “The format developed by Agito is simple and very effective". He adds, “The feedback received by myself, and other members of FofHCS from passengers has been fantastic, since over 1000 copies of the timetable were widely distributed throughout the Four Heatons area of Stockport.”
Copies of the Easy to Read Rail Timetable can also be found in selected poster cases in and around Heaton Chapel Station.
Roy McDonald of Agito, who led this initiative says, “The easy to read timetable was developed to enable passengers to have readily available, easy to access train times for their local train services, without having to wade through pages of timetable information". Roy adds, "The simple format could provide a cost effective template that could be adopted for other local rail stations across the UK."
