We are a service and social organization founded in 1979 dedicated to further students interest and participation in floral design through special projects, demonstrations, seminars, and interaction with the floral industry through Texas State Floral Conventions and National AIFD Symposiums. SAIFD is a student chapter of The American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD.) We are a pre-professional organization that connects students with a passion in floral to designers, growers, and wholesalers in the industry.
Texas A&M SAIFD's main goal is to bring all sorts of people who are interested in floral design to experience a community of creativity and service of events inside and outside campus.
Membership is open to all majors at Texas A&M University, so every student is welcome to join if they love floral design! Or even if you want to try something new!
In SAIFD we hold both service, volunteer, and personal meetings! Especially during the fall semester, we primarily work on floral arrangements for the football suites. WHOOP! Service and volunteer opportunities are open invite to any student without dues, yet personal meetings requires paid dues.
