The 'African Urban Planning Research Network' (AUPRN) was established in 2013. Its main goal is to join researchers, planners, policy makers, and post-graduate students in the broad area of African urban studies, interested in urban planning issues in the continent, with the aim to enhance the interdisciplinary study in the field of African Planning Studies and to promote the exchange of information and discussion on issues related to urban and regional planning in Africa. The AUPRN-mailing list is its instrument for the dissemination and discussion of scholarship on African urban and regional planning studies.
