African Urban Planning

Research Network

The 'African Urban Planning Research Network' (AUPRN) is a voluntary peer-to-peer network of scholars, post-graduate students, and independent researchers, established in 2010. The AUPRN seeks to join researchers working in the broad area of African Urban and Planning Studies, based in any region of the world, with the aim to promote the exchange of information and the discussion of issues related to urban and regional planning in Africa, and to facilitate and promote collaboration and partnerships in research on these issues. It cooperates with the LGLG-RN and with the UEPNET. The AUPRN is associated with the organization of the International Conference on 'African Urban Planning'. The AUPRN-mailing list, active since 2013, is its digital instrument for the dissemination and discussion of scholarship on urban and regional planning research focused on African countries.
