Major Train Stations Around TUFS

Getting to TUFS from Narita International Airport

If you are coming directly to TUFS from Narita Airport, there are several ways you can take.  We recommend that you take the bus from Narita Airport to one of the following JR Chuo Line stations: Kichijoji (next to Mitaka, but not shown on the map above), Shinjuku, Tokyo; and then take trains.  Alternatively, you can also take a Narita Express train to Shinjuku and transfer to JR Chuo Line there.  

Note that JR Chuo Line trains are extremely crowded during the peak hours (7-9 am, 6-9 pm on weekdays).  So, we recommend that you wait for the bus to Kichijoji at the airport rather than take those to Shinjuku and Tokyo if you arrive in these hours with big luggage.

After arriving at one of the JR Chuo Line stations mentioned above, please take a rapid（快速）train to Musashisakai（武蔵境）.  Note that special rapid （特別快速）trains do not stop at Musashisakai.  Finally, transfer to the Seibu Tamagawa Line at Musashisakai.  Tama（多磨）Station is the nearest station to TUFS, and it is the second stop from Musashisakai.

Directions From Other Parts of Tokyo

The nearby train stations to ILCAA/TUFS are "TAMA" (Seibu Tamagawa Line) and "TOBITAKYU" (Keio New Line).

Via "TAMA" Station on Seibu Tamagawa Line

Seibu Tamagawa Line starts at MUSASHI-SAKAI Station on JR Chuo-sen (Chuo-Line), and TAMA is two stops from MUSASHI-SAKAI. After exiting the station, walk towards the left and take the underground stairwell to the other side of the station. Proceed to the main intersection with traffic lights ahead of you, and cross the street to the TUFS campus.

Via "TOBITAKYU" Station on Keio New Line

TOBITAKYU Station is on Keio New Line, which runs from SHINJUKU. From TOBITAKYU, you can catch the #2 or #33 Keio Bus to TAMA Station. Get off at "Tokyo Gaikokugo Daigaku Mae" bus stop (you have to press the purple button near your seat on the bus after the stop is announced), or "Tama Eki" bus stop if you miss this earlier stop. At the main intersection, cross the street to the TUFS campus.

ILCAA/TUFS is also about 20-minute-walk from TOBITAKYU Station.
