Antonio Elias Fabris works with Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the University of São Paulo. His research centers on Image Processing & Computer Graphics , Discrete Geometry and Numerical Methods applied to Finance.
He obtained a Bachelor's degree and a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of São Paulo (IME). In 1986 he started at the Applied Mathematics Department of IME-USP teaching at Polytechnic School. From 1992 to 1995 he was a student of Robin Forrest at University of East Anglia, where he received a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
He has been a Visiting Professor at the School of Computing Sciences (Point-Based Rendering Project, Royal Society Funding) and at the Visgraf: Vision and Graphics Laboratory (Visgraf, IMPA, CNPQ).
In 1996 he formed the CGCAP, Computer Graphics and Applied Computational Geometry Group, IME-USP. CGCAP is the second Latin American Lab having a research paper published and presented at the ACM-SIGGRAPH Proceedings.
