Dr. Asad Zaman
This website provides access to the lecture notes/text of Applied Econometrics by Dr. Asad Zaman. These notes are to be converted in an elementary textbook of econometrics soon.
Dr. Zaman has exceptional academic career in Econometrics. At the age of 23, he earned his PhD from Stanford in Econonetrics. His writing has been published in top academic journals including Annals of Statistics and Journal of Econometrics. He has been teaching econometrics at University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Johns Hopkins, Bilkent, LUMS and International Islamic University, Islamabad. He is currently Professor of Economics at International Institute of Islamic Economics, International Islamic University, Islamabad.
Dr. Zaman has been teaching Applied Econometrics to students at IIIE, LUMS (Lahore) and State Bank of Pakistan during last few years. This website contains lecture notes and other supporting material for this course. These notes are to be converted into an elementary text of econometrics. His two students Atiq-ur-Rehman and Mumtaz Ahmed are working on this project.
