What is this site all about?
The aim of this site is to help schools create meaningful, ongoing professional development. While the content of such professional development is ultimately up to each school, there are suggestions here for various aspects of education. Following the suggestions herein should yield a full course of professional development that will help any school improve the education it gives its students.
Professional development should not be something we "do;" it should be part of who we are. A full course of such professional development includes a number of areas, each of which is dealt with herein. In addition to the areas covered here, there are suggestions for how to introduce any other aspects that you might feel are important to your school. Professional development is as much about the process as it is about the content.
Ultimately, ongoing high quality professional development leads to the creation of a Professional Learning Community (PLC).
