Wayne Lundberg, CMfgE - Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Wayne is a Designer/Fabricator who has invented and brought on line more than 90 production machine products including highly complex one-person workcenters controlled by programmable logic controllers, to manufacture complex switching transformers. He has played a leading role, ranging from basic fabrication to computer automation, in 39 successful manufacturing startups and 126 new-product development projects. He was project leader in implementing a 'lights out' robotic workcell at Caterpillar's Solar Turbines Division, co-founded Chapter 299 of the Robotics International of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and introduced an Associate degree in Automation Technology at San Diego City College with emphasis on robotics. Patrick McCarty - Computer Engineer, GUI Specialist

Tyson Messori - Lead Mechanical Engineer
Tyson, the principal designer of AET's robot, is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and is a passionate roboticist. He has designed sensors for robotics and is talented in mechatronics. Resume
Randy Norris
Randy is an experienced digital design engineer, has worked for TRW, Hughes, Hewlett-Packard and other companies, and is a.b.d. on an engineering Ph.D. in integrated circuits at the University of Southern California.
Mike Shelley - Lead Electrical/Electronics Engineer
Mike, the principal designer of the electrical and electronics systems in AET's robot, is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is extremely proficient in programming languages, electronics, and RFID. He was a member of his university’s team that developed an entrant in the DARPA Grand Challenge, a contest to develop an autonomous vehicle that could navigate a route across the desert without human guidance or control. Steven is an electronics hardware engineer with experience in product creation including chip, board, product and system. He has worked at L3 Communications and Motorola among others doing advanced work in telemetry.
Steve Barmazel - Publications Director
A veteran international journalist and former newsmagazine correspondent in Pakistan, he has reported for leading news publications including the Far Eastern Economic Review, Asiaweek and Financial Times. He is the co-author of several technical papers on landmine clearing techniques. Resume

Bernard rides herd on all details of progress and makes sure we hit our milestones. Experienced in business development, management, economic development, and city planning and training, in 1992 he co-founded Ploughshare Technologies to manufacture and market equipment to clear anti-personnel landmines worldwide. Formerly Project Manager of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Economic Redevelopment Program for the U.S. Department of Commerce, he was Executive Director of the Northern Virginia Regional Planning District Commission, which he helped found. Sean Sammut - Member of the Board of Directors
Sean, a former US Marines EOD technician, is an EOD expert with more than 15 years in the industry. He was recently a convoy operator in Iraq and is now working on opium poppy suppression in Afghanistan. Resume
Robert Sherman - Co-Founder, Member of the Board of Directors
Bob is a US House of Representatives Defense Appropriations Subcommittee staffer with responsibility for nuclear weapons, was Deputy Chief landmine negotiator in the State Department 1992-2000, was a technology manager for the Chemical, Biological & Radiological Technology Alliance (CBRTA), and is the creator of current US national landmine policy. He holds TS/SAP/SCI clearances.
Daniel H. Wolf - Co-Founder, Chairman/CEO, Legal Counsel
Dan created AET's initial robot concept. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a Ph.D. (abd) from the University of California, San Diego. He is founder and President of Terra Segura International, a nonprofit technology company that pioneered market-oriented solutions for landmine removal and organized the team that eventually created Advanced Earth Technologies. He was the founding Director of the TransBorder Institute at the University of San Diego, where he also taught political science. He is undefeated in his pro-bono legal work, was consultant to the U.S. Attorney for Southern district of California, and practiced as an architect in Oregon, where he was recognized for engineering quality and innovation in passive solar architecture.
Mr. Wolf's Harvard Law studies emphasized international law, international contracts, and negotiation; at the University of California, San Diego, he won fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, the Tinker Foundation, and the University of California MEXUS Consortium. His undergraduate work at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, included heavy doses of Economics and Physics, and he won a fellowship from the Thomas J. Watson, Jr. Foundation for research in India. His background has given him great depth of experience and numerous business and government contacts around the world.
He has a daughter, Victoria, 10, and in his spare time he develops projects associated with public health and public safety, such as Neighbors Together (pandemic flu), Piclopedia (appropriate technology), and Revisioning Peace Action (peace studies and programs). Albert Bottoms
Al is the Founder of MINWARA, the Mine Warfare Association, and President of the Society for Counter-Ordnance Technology. He worked in the Office of Naval Research for many decades, and organizes frequent conferences on mines, mine warfare, mine eradication, IEDs, and countermine/counter-IED technology.
Lt.Col. Robert Dalton, USMC (Ret)
Bob had 32 years’ active duty in the US Marine Corps, including infantry combat in Korea and Vietnam. He was in charge of the USMC procurement budget when it expanded more than six-fold during the Reagan Administration. He is now Professor of International Business at North Central Arizona University.

Colin King
Colin is oneof the world's leading authorities on landmine and explosive ordnance disposal. Formerly an instructor at the UK Defence EOD School and EOD analyst for the UK Ministry of Defense, he is now Editor of Jane’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Jane’s Mines and Mine Clearance. He commanded mine and ordnance clearance in the Falklands, led the first British team to train Afghan deminers, and conducted the EOD assessment of Iraq on behalf of State Department. He has 20 years’ experience in the breakdown of live munitions and training of military EOD operators.
