Call for participation
Introduction
Online advertising is a multi-billion dollar industry driven by the confluence of machine learning, optimization, control systems, auction algorithms, econometrics and software engineering. The goal of this workshop is to discuss how machine learning systems operate within the context of an advertising system. We are inviting academic and industry participation in the one day workshop on ”Online advertising systems”, organized as part of ICML 2016 conference, New York (June 19-24, 2016). We request that you fill out a short questionnaire here if you interested in speaking, submitting or attending.
Topics
We are looking for contributed talks/posters on topics that include but are not limited to:
Scalable machine learning algorithms for advertising
Machine learning training and serving infrastructure for advertising
Software engineering for machine learning
Optimization and control algorithms for pacing
Dynamic pricing
Explore/Exploit trade-off
A/B testing
User and market modeling
Lifetime value estimation
Submission Instructions
Submissions can be done using CMT system or by e-mailing submissions @ ads-ml-systems-workshop.org
Page limit:
Research submission: 4 pages (without references)
Industry submission: 1 page outline + slides
Format: Please use the ICML 2016 submission format for papers and PDF for presentations
The submission need not be anonymized
Archival Policy: Submissions to the workshop are linked from the workshop website and not permanently archived. If you are submitting material already published/presented else where please be explicit in the submission.
