[Congratulations!] Prof. Lee Appointed Senior Editor, JLA 

Prof. Dongkyoung Lee of the Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at Kongju National University has been appointed Senior Editor of the Journal of Laser Applications (JLA), a journal indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). His name and affiliation appear on the journal’s official list of Senior Editors. Official editorial team 

JLA is the scientific journal of The Laser Institute (LIA), published in cooperation with AIP Publishing, a subsidiary of the American Institute of Physics (AIP). Established in 1988, the journal covers fundamental research and industrial applications in laser precision processing, additive manufacturing, surface modification, sensing and diagnostics, and microelectronics. Prof. Lee directs the Advanced Design & Laser-Aided Manufacturing Laboratory (ADLAM Lab), where his research focuses on laser–material interactions and their applications in advanced manufacturing. His research spans battery electrode processing and structuring, fuel-cell component manufacturing, precision processing for semiconductor packaging and displays, and laser applications in nuclear power plant decommissioning. His work connects processing-induced changes in materials with improvements in component functionality and performance. 

This appointment provides an opportunity for Prof. Lee to contribute to the evaluation and dissemination of research in laser materials processing. It is also expected to strengthen the international visibility of Kongju National University’s research in laser-aided manufacturing and support broader academic exchange in the field.
