Abstract:
This paper presents the knowledge gathered from simulation of real time power system elements data in state southern region states of India which are: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. It is an attempt to calculate Available Transfer Capability (ATC) and Total Transfer Capability (TTC) by carefully studying the present power system scenario in the states. This paper also elaborates the present power system condition and bottlenecks in the transmission system which limits the capability of the system to meet higher consumer demand in the States.
