Scalp acupuncture was developed as a complete acupuncture system by Jiao Shunfa, Fang Yunpeng, and Tang Songyan during the 1970's. Scalp acupuncture mostly specialized in treating people with nervous-system disorders, including spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis. Scalp acupuncture can be used in conjunction with regular acupuncture or massage treatments.
