Before mounting the engine you might find it useful to set the cylinder to BDC (Bottom Dead Centre), i.e. the cylinder at it's lowest location in its bore and make a pen mark on the flywheel and the body of the engine. This makes it easy to locate this position again by lining up the marks. This will prevent having to remove the glow plug when ever you need to set the engine to BDC. When researching running in the engine it was mentioned that it was a good idea to set the engine to BDC during the cooling down stage.
