World Class Equestrian Coach for Jimboomba Carriage Drivers

Saturday-Sunday 17 & 18 October 2009

 Sheryl Leibowitz

EA Level 3 Carriage Driving Coach

Following a very successful visit in 2008, the Jimboomba & Districts Pleasure drivers this weekend hosted world class equestrian Coach Sheryl Leibowitz for one on one training clinics.

Former World Champion Sheryl, with husband Trevor and daughter Kim, own and operate the Shibumi Equestrian Centre in Bundanoon on the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. At this permanent base they undertake the education of both horses and people in ridden dressage, carriage driving, show jumping, basic horsemanship and animal care. They assist with pleasure riding or driving over their extensive property or the local forests and will even build a carriage vehicle for you.

With her skills and knowledge gained through working with horses at an elete level plus the ability to quickly analyse and educate, Sheryl is a brilliant coach and again ideal for this type of schooling. The Jimboomba & Districts Pleasure Drivers promotes events such as these to make its sport of pleasure driving exactly what that title implies by improving the competency of the driver to benefit themselves, their horses and the sport. It hopes that all who attended, some from the Sunshine Coast and Northern New South Wales, will take what they learn home to their own clubs and raise the standard across the wider area.

All sports need Coaches and probably none more that equestrian activities. The Jimboomba club is enjoying and growing from this realationship and hopes it can continue in this direction well into the future. With the positive feedback and tangible results already shown the next school may have to be sooner rather than later.
