Andrew B. Whinston

I am currently a professor at The University of Texas at Austin where I holds the Hugh Roy Cullen Centennial Chair in Business Administration. I am also the director of the Center for Research in Electronic Commerce in the McCombs School of Business. I have published extensively on resource allocation issues and am currently working on Internet security. I have completed numerous research projects that investigate economics, Internet technology, and operations research in the study of information systems issues. In 2011, I was rated as the most influential scholar in the Information Systems field by the h-index which measures scholarly influence.
