Biography
Dr. Abubakar Elsafi received his Ph.D. in Software Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)—ranked among the best 200 universities in the world. He currently serves as a faculty member with the department of Software Engineering, College of Computer Science & Engineering, at the University of Jeddah, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Elsafi has extensive experience in university teaching, which has equipped him with the expertise to effectively teach and supervise students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Beyond his teaching responsibilities, he is actively engaged as a member of various academic and administrative committees. In addition, he regularly participates in international conferences, publishes papers in reputable journals, deeply involved as a reviewer for prestigious conferences and journals, and is a member of several international professional societies related to Information Technology.
Dr. Elsafi's research interests lie in software engineering, with a particular focus on formal verification, model checking, and systematic mapping and review. His current research also emphasizes AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and their applications in enhancing quality of life.
