Throughout my life I have had a variety of interests and hobbies but somehow, I always returned to a few key interests..
Voracious Reader
For as long as I can remember, I've enjoyed reading fiction, mysteries and science-fiction. I read faster than most people I know and I remember what I read for a long time. I enjoy turning the pages of a book and have fond memories of staying up way too late to read through an exciting chapter or finish the book.
Technology Guru
I do not really remember a time when people didn't come to me to ask me to help them with the TV, the VCR, the computer, the printer, and so on and so on. I've never taken classes or read a book about gadgets -- the use of technology in my life comes to me naturally and I thoroughly enjoy helping people choose the right stuff to improve into their lives.
Gear head
Since tech wasn't expensive enough, I also became a bit of a car nut by the time my age was counted in double digits. I'm not really that mechanical in the sense that I don't do much wrenching on any of my cars. But I love to drive enthusiastically, I love to own a lot of different types of cars and I love to read about the specs and performance of all the different models. The single biggest highlight has been buying and picking up a car in Germany and driving it on the Autobahn. I highly recommend it!
Honorable Mentions
In my younger years I was a PC gamer and regularly would spend hours fighting demons, exploring exotic worlds and saving the princess. Time has passed and I no longer have the time for epic gaming but I still do have time for a game that has flexibility in play style.
It turns out I’ve recently hit my 11th anniversary playing Words with Friends. It’s not sexy, I’ll grant you. However, when you do something for over a decade, it’s certainly worthy of note. Astute tech nerds may also realize that, yes, that means I had the very first iPad. It was one of the very first apps I downloaded on that crazy, curved back device. :-)
