ABOUT DR. ZHENG

Dr. Guili Zheng is an authority in Acupuncture and Herbal Formulation. He has more than 30 years of experience as professor, director, and supervisor in acupuncture schools in China and America.

In 1974, Dr. Zheng first began practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine as a barefoot doctor under the guidance of a local famous doctor who specialized in internal medicine, gynecology, and pediatric in Mountain Lu. He later worked at a district hospital of TCM as a radiologist assistant for 2 years. After the Cultural Revolution, he was accepted to Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to study both Western and Chinese medicine, where his received his M.D. and Master’s of Medicine in Herbology and Prescription. Upon graduation, he served as Associate Professor in Herbology and Prescription and Associate Academic Dean in Shandong University of TCM. In 1998, Dr. Zheng received his Ph.D. from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, where he studied with Dr. Mianzhi Wang, an internationally famous Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor well-known for his diagnosis and treatment in gynecology, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

In 1999, Dr. Zheng was elected as a member of the China National Committee of Herbal Formula of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the highest academic committee of Chinese medical herbal formula in China, where each province in China only selects no more than two outstanding professionals to serve in the committee. Among the world’s leading TCM doctors, Dr. Zheng is the author of eight academic books; he has more than 20 papers published in either Chinese or English. With over 27 years of teaching, research, and clinical experience, Dr. Zheng joined the faculty of Texas College of TCM in 2001 and served as the school’s herbal director

Dr. Zheng is a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Texas and a NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) certified Diplomat of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Zheng is particularly good at treating intractable diseases such as pain syndromes, allergies, infertility, hypertension, menstrual problems, menopausal syndrome and other gynecological disorders; other areas of expertise include immune system disorders, oncology, pediatrics disorders, respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders, and side effects from chemotherapy and radiation.
