Dr. Diljit Singh (辛格博士)
現任國際學校圖書館學會會長
Diljit Singh is an Associate Professor at the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has previously served as Deputy Dean (Postgraduate) at the Faculty.
Diljit holds a B.Sc. from the University of Malaya, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Florida State University, USA. He taught in two schools, and worked at the state and federal levels of the Ministry of Education Malaysia before joining the university.
His professional and research interests include information literacy, management of libraries and information services, use and user studies, school libraries, and library and information science education. He has published widely and has presented at many conferences, locally and internationally.
Diljit is active in library associations at the local and international levels, and is currently the President of the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL). He is also a member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions’ Standing Committee for Asia and Oceania.
朱啟華博士
(Dr. Samuel Kai Wah Chu)
Dr. Samuel Kai Wah Chu is the Head of Division of Information and Technology Studies and an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education. He is also the Deputy Director (Centre for Information Technology in Education) in the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong.
He has published over 150 articles and books including key journals in the area of IT in education (e.g., Computers & Education, Journal of Educational Technology & Society), information and library science (e.g., Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Library & Information Science Research), school librarianship (e.g., School Library Media Research, School Libraries Worldwide), academic librarianship (e.g., Journal of Academic Librarianship) and knowledge management (e.g., Journal of Intellectual Capital). He is also the author of a series of children story books published by Pearson Longman Hong Kong, including My Pet Hamsters and The Chocolate Boy.
Dr Chu is the Associate Editor (Asia) for Online Information Review: The International Journal of Digital Information Research and Use. He is also the Asia Regional Editor for Journal of Information & Knowledge Management and an Editorial Board Member for Library & Information Science Research and School Libraries Worldwide. His research interests cover the areas of 21st century skills, social media in education, collaborative inquiry project-based learning, digital literacies (information, media, & technology literacy), school and academic librarianship, game-based learning, and knowledge management and intellectual capital.
Dr Chu has obtained over 30 research/project grants with a total funding of US$1,226,285 (as the Principle Investigator and US$570,550 (as a Co-Investigator). He is also the recipient of his Faculty's Outstanding Researcher Award in 2013.
陳昭珍博士
(Joyce Chao-chen Chen, PhD)
陳昭珍教授 現任國立臺灣師範大學圖書資訊學研究所教授兼教務長、中華圖書資訊館際合作協會理事長、IFLA ARL section 委員 。1994年於國立台灣大學圖書館學系取得博士學位,先後任職於國立台灣大學圖書館、輔仁大學圖書資訊學系、師大社教系、國家圖書館;曾擔任中華民國圖書館學會秘書長及理事長、中華圖書資訊學教育學會秘書長、美國資訊科學學會台北分會會長、國立臺灣師範大學圖書館館長。專長領域為資訊組織、數位圖書館、數位典藏與出版、數位學習、閱讀研究、公共圖書館、學校圖書館等。已發表期刊文章90篇,研討會文章66篇,專書及技術報告25本。
Joyce Chao-chen Chen received Ph.D. degree in Department of Library and Information Science from National Taiwan University in 1994. Now, she is a professor of the Graduate Institute of Library and Information Studies, and the Dean of Academic Affairs of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). She also is the President of Library Association of the Republic of China from 2008-2009, the President of Interlibrary Cooperation Association from 2010-2014, the University librarian of NTNU from 2007-2013, and one of the standing committee of Academic and Research Libraries Section of IFLA, 2011-2015, one of the member of the Research Team, IASL Research SIG from 2012.
Prof. Chen is very concerned about the development of public libraries and school libraries in Taiwan besides the academic librarianship. She was the organizer of IASL 2007 Annual Conference in Taipei. Her research interests cover the areas of digital libraries, information organization, e-publishing, e-learning, reading studies, school librarianship.
