Welcome to the official website for the Claremont Colleges Science Bus!

What is Science Bus?

Science Bus is a student run, volunteer organization at the Claremont Colleges. We have two main programs: our weekly lessons and Science Day.

Weekly Lessons

We write our own fun, hands-on science lessons, which cover a broad range of topics in physics, chemistry, engineering, and more. Each week, teams of volunteers teach these lessons in local elementary schools. These lessons are meant to supplement, rather than replace, the traditional in-class curriculum. Our lessons plans are all available to the public here.

This Spring will be a little different: we're going to open our weekly lessons to the public. Lessons will be taught virtually over zoom. Learn more: Virtual Lessons

Science Day

We also host an annual event called Science Day, where students can come to Harvey Mudd College for a day filled with more complex lessons and occasionally explosive demonstrations! Learn more: Science Day
