We have had such a productive week at school! I am very impressed with how quickly we have adjusted back to school after our summer break. I’m also enjoying getting to know all of my students this year and discovering new strengths in them each day!
Thank you for your help at home with our memory and spelling words. Next week we will start each day with the Morning Prayer, and then have a fill-in-the-blank quiz for it on Friday. Because we have Monday off, we will only have memory work on Friday next week.
Have you heard about our pet praying mantis? The kids have had so much fun catching crickets and grasshoppers to feed it. It’s been a great observation tool and a reminder of how unique and special God’s creation is! I found a couple of nonfiction informational texts to learn more about the praying mantis that we will read. We’ll enjoy her company for about one more week, and then we will release her back into the wild.
