Friday, Sept. 5
We had another great week of school! I really am enjoying teaching and feel blessed to have such a fun group of kids to be around!
We have been able to practice all of our emergency situations. We had a fire drill, tornado drill, and practiced how to quickly escape for our intruder drill.
Next week we will begin some of our early fall testing. We will do a FAST test to give me an idea of who might need some extra help with their fluency. This fluency test is a timed 1-minute reading test that looks at words per minute and accuracy. Later we will take a comprehension test to see who might need some extra help understanding what they read. All of these results will be sent home and shared with you at their completion.
If you have a servant’s heart and would like to help clean up the roads around our school, we are having a family time to do that next Wednesday. A family adult must be present for your child to participate.
On Friday, Sept. 12, our PTL is hosting a family picnic night! Pack your own supper and bring the family for a fun evening of fellowship and playground games.
If you are looking for a church home, you are always welcome to join us at Trinity. I can also advise you on some other great churches throughout our community. This Sunday, Trinity church is at 9am and we will have Sunday School registration. Our Sunday School program will start up again the following weekend at 10:30am.
Have a great weekend!
