Happy Advent to you! Advent is a time of waiting, hope, and anticipation. We look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus! Each day begins with our Advent calendar in 4th grade where one student gets to open a door and reveal a piece to our nativity scene. We then discuss this piece’s significance to the birth of Christ. It is such a blessing to begin each day focused on the true meaning of this Christmas season.
Next week we have an early out on Wednesday. That is also the day for our K-3 grade Christmas program! If you’d like to come a little early to school, you are welcome to join us at the K-3 program at 11am in the school gym. Your child might just want to take a trip through the sweets and treats shop with you after school, too.
We are making great progress on our book reports! This week we are busy reading. Next week we will do the writing and editing of the reports. All final reports are due on Monday, Dec. 15. We’ll spend that week presenting!
Have a wonderful weekend! It sounds like more snow is on its way. Thank you for sending all the warm snow gear to school. We are having fun in the snow at recess!!
