A cacophony of language babbles forth from foreign mouths. Camera clutching tourists pose in Times Square; the news scrolls on in neon. A woman fishes cans from the trash as a mouse scuttles to catch a cockroach. Two homeless men share guzzles from a paper bag clad bottle. A girl gets out of a cab. She tells the turbaned driver keep the change. He does. The jaundice-eyed kid cop on the corner looks the other way.
