Why don't you join me and take on your very own 365Challenge to help Cancer Research UK - together we can raise even more! Watch my Invitation to the 365challenge video here.
If you're interested, do please get in touch and let me know what challenges you want to take on. Maybe you feel you could manage one of the challenges I'm undertaking - the channel swim, for instance - or maybe you fancy taking on all of the challenges I've
devised here. Or you may want to come up with your own variations that you want to complete over the course of a full year. For example, if you're a runner, could you run 6.55 miles in a week? Every week for a month? Then, cumulatively, you'll have run a marathon. Could you do that every month and "complete" 12 marathons in a year? For Cancer Research UK? How impressive would that be?
Or maybe you could walk the Land's End to John O' Groat's route - 1000 miles - over the course of a year - that's 19.2 miles a week, or around 5 hours walking at a good pace. Maybe you already do something like that, but if you label it as something significant, now you could do it for Cancer Research and have people sponsor you.
So what's stopping you?
The possibilities are endless - cycle or run the length of Africa (7500 miles), row the Atlantic (3000 miles), climb Everest (8850 metres) - be as creative as you like. Do the challenge on your own, or bring some friends on board to form your very own Team 365challenge group - share the fun and keep each other motivated.
Have a look at my 365Challenges to Try page for more ideas.
Let me know what you want to do by emailing me at colin@365challenge.co.uk.
If you want to do this with me for Cancer Research UK, you'll need to register with them too. You can get all the details and download your fund-raising registration form by clicking through on this link: Fund Raising Registration for CRUK. Once you've registered (and where they ask "How Can We Help? on the Registration page, please tick the "I know what I want to do - I’d like some practical guidance" option - you can let them know later on that you're taking a 365challenge by quoting the appeal code UKCH01 - their local coordinator will be in touch to support you. But don't forget that I'm here too, and I'll do all I can to help you create your challenge and generate sponsors.
I've written a guide, also, to the important steps that you should take as you start planning your 365challenge and your personal fund-raising, which you can download for this link: 365challenge Guide
