The kit should be packed in a rucksack or holdall
All kit must be named (including plates & cutlery)
Scouts should pack their own kit so they know where everything
General rule is "if it doesn’t fit it doesn’t go"
Sleeping bag
Roll mat
Camp fire blanket
Change of clothes per day plus extra set (trousers & jumper may last 2 days)
Pyjamas
Hiking boots or wellies
Trainers or walking shoes
Waterproof jacket & trousers
Hat
Warm coat / fleece
Gloves
Wash kit & small towel
Plastic bag for dirties
Small personal first aid kit
Tea towel
Torch & spare batteries
Handkerchief
Suncream
Small day sack
Water bottle
Groundsheet / plastic sheeting for airing kit / sitting on
Book or reading material for freetime
No jeans (they take too long to dry if they get wet)
No MP3/IPods, cameras, or mobile phones
No money unless a camp bank has been specified
Scout/Cubs must travel to & from the campsite in Scout uniform
