Pistol Terms and Safety

Before we begin, you should always know and follow the basic safety rules on handling firearms.

Basic Safety Rules

• Always treat every Firearm as if it were loaded.

• Never point any Firearm at anything you do not wish to shoot.

• Keep finger off the trigger until you intend to fire.

• Know your target and what is beyond it.

• Always point the Firearm in a safe direction even if it's not loaded.

• Always keep the gun unloaded until it is ready to shoot.

• Always keep the safety on until you are ready to shoot.

• Always be sure of your target.
