About Instructor Matt Stein

Matt has been training in Taekwondo since 1972.

He obtained his 1st Dan black belt training under GrandMaster Fred Lee and Audric Begg at the Brotherhood Hall in Wealdstone.

The Brotherhood Club flourished with the likes of World Champion Gold medalists Lindsay Lawrence and Sean Daley. When Matt left the club to move to Bristol it was run by Mick King and Con Halpin. Con still runs the club today.

Matt took his black belt grading with Master Wayne Gates as seen below:

Matt and Wayne were presented their certificates and belt the following week where they each said their tenets to the class:

When Matt moved to Bristol in 1984 he met GrandMaster Dung LeVan and began training.

Matt started teaching under GradMaster LeVan in 2010. The club was called LeVan Tkd Federation in it's early years. It changed to 2010 Taekwondo in 2016 when Dung retired and handed his club over to his son Master Minh LeVan.

As 2010 Tkd the club continues to grow. Gradings are held three times a year. From time to time we perform demonstrations locally. The club continues to run in three halls.

Whilst all the halls are Church or Community halls soft mats are laid out for each class.

Matt stands over as Rowan, Daisy and Gabe say their tenets to the class in April 2017. As well as the five tenets each student must explain why Taekwondo is important to them.
