Topological Quantum Matter in Cold-Atom Setups

The Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics is pleased to announce the

17th Symposium on Topological Quantum Information

to be held in Garching (Munich) on the 16th and 17th of April 2015.

Taking advantage of the research carried out in Garching, the main focus of this edition of the symposium will be the realization of topological phases of matter in cold-atom setups. The topic will be explored focussing both on the recent experimental breakthroughs and on the new ingenious theoretical ideas which are being put forward to see topological effects in ultra-cold matter.

The Symposium will be mainly aimed to PhD students and postdocs working in this field. We are planning to have two lectures, some senior research seminars and several slots for shorter talks held by participants. Everybody is welcome; participation is free of charge. The application deadline is the 30th of January 2015.
