Service Opportunities

Updated September 11th

KMRF

KMRF is an organization that supports the education of underprivileged children in government schools. Student volunteers from Sreenidhi hold the responsibility of teaching the children various activities and subjects every Saturday as well as hosting events wherein they can show different skills.

To sign up, talk to Ms. Sahera.

Organic Farming

Sustainability and Agriculture Club is a co-curricular activity after school hours that promotes agriculture and farming at home. Students participating in this activity learn about the various methods to be sustainable at home as well as grow their own plants at home which can either be used as ingredients or used in other useful ways. To sign up, register through the CCA form, or talk to Ms. Sahera/Mr. Gopi.

International Award for Young People (IAYP)

IAYP consists of four sections: Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, and Adventurous Camp. There are three age levels of participation opportunities in the activity, bronze, for 14-year-olds, silver for 15-year-olds, and gold for 16-year-olds. The adventure camp is applicable in all three age levels, but the time duration of the camp increases from bronze to gold. For more details, speak to Mr. Ramakrishna, and to sign up, register through the CCA form.

Ozone Run

Ozone Run is a collective effort to educate people about the Ozone Layer and what each of us can do to help protect it, not only for our resources for survival but also for the enjoyment and the prospect of having future generations enjoy it. The Ozone Run features 3 categories: 2K – Walk/Run, 5K Run, and 10K Timed Run Professional arrangements will be made for participants to experience a good run from traffic management to medical aid and hydration to post-run meal and entertainment. Although the sign-ups are already complete, for the run, you may contact Ms. Priyadharshini, Ms. Sahera, or Ms. Mahua, to see if there is still an opportunity for you to sign up!

Gratitude Drive

The Gratitude Drive program centers around fostering gratitude among students by organizing inclusive events aimed at giving back to those who tirelessly contribute to our school environment. Last year, we did things like Secret Santa and the Support Staff Drive. A core team has already been selected, but we are always looking for volunteers, so those interested can sign up through this form! We will select members that sound promising!

And if you have any questions or ideas about certain activities or starting your own service initiative, feel free to contact Sreshta Guda, the Service Secretary, or Nishka Suchanti, the Deputy Service Secretary!
