Mr. Blithe's Class

Mr. Blithe began teaching in Siren in 2007. He spent his first four years in the district as a Third Grade teacher. At the beginning of the 2011-12 school year, he moved to Sixth Grade. In 2014 Mr. Blithe became a fifth grade teacher.

Mr. Blithe spent his childhood living on the East Coast. He was born outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in northern New Jersey. He attended Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, then transferred to Auburn University in 1988. He was graduated from Auburn with a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture. He worked in Birmingham, AL and Philadelphia, PA for a total of six years before moving to Wisconsin.


Once in Wisconsin, Mr. Blithe attended graduate school at UW-River Falls. His teaching career began in 2005, when he taught in a one-room schoolhouse in The Sandhills of western Nebraska. A total of three students attended that school, outside of Gordon, Nebraska. Mr. Blithe spent the next year teaching fifth grade in Point Hope, Alaska. That village is located 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle.


Mr. Blithe enjoys competing in athletic endurance events. He has completed around 20 full marathons, several ultramarathons, and three full Ironman Triathlons along with countless other running events and triathlons.
