For the first time ever, we participated in Fairfield Kiwanis Kids' Day!
After our group marched in the parade, we provided the people of the square a free craft at our booth. Soon, children were running around with beautiful Autumn crowns with materials gathered by our Grades Program students. Heads were adorned with fragrant greenery, fall flowers, and field grass.

One of the standout features of Waldorf education is Eurythmy. We’re incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Raven with us, allowing us to learn from her in this distinctive field.
Many of you have been curious about what Eurythmy entails, and the best way to understand it is through firsthand experience. You will have two chances to attend.
Zoom (Friday October 11th, 5pm - 6pm) or in-person at Singing Cedars (Saturday October 12th, 1pm - 2:30pm).

Calling all Spring Bulb donations! The students will be planting fall bulbs around campus and we are gratefully accepting all donations of bulbs at this time. Please bring your bulbs to the school by October 4th.
This is such a wonderful way to experience delayed gratification! We know now through much research that the one marker of future success that can be detected all the way back to the age of 4 is the ability to delay gratification. That goes for happiness, job satisfaction, fulfilling relationships, wealth, and the list goes on. That one thing is the ability to delay gratification and planting bulbs in fall and having to wait all the way until Spring to see them bloom is a magical way to build that muscle.

Waldorf Schools around the world celebrate Michaelmas, which began as a harvest festival in the Middle Ages. This feast honors the archangel Michael, who is a figure common to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. He is a symbol of good triumphing over evil, courage over cowardice. The celebration of this holiday teaches the importance of facing fears and strengthening resolve.
Michaelmas falls near the autumn equinox, marking the end of the harvest and the summer. It's a time when the days grow ever shorter. This shift marks a time of turning inward, a time of gathering strength to face the growing darkness.
WE WILL WORK WITH OUR WILL
WITH OUR STRENGTH AND OUR SKILL
WITH A CLASH AND A CLANG
ON OUR ANVILS WE BANG
TIL OUR SWORD SHINES SO BRIGHT
IN THE DEEP DARK OF NIGHT
Students will hold a celebration for Michaelmas. The grades will perform a play and classes will have a special snack together.
We have officially scheduled the Lantern Walk for November 19th.
"Thank you all for making the shift to Brightwheel rather seamlessly! We really appreciated your cooperation and participation during these changes!"

"In the past month, I have enjoyed meeting so many of you and can't wait to connect with more of you soon! As the Development Director, my goals this year include not only raising funds for the school but also building our community. Each of you brings a unique contribution that enriches our school. This year, I’d like your service commitment hours to reflect your valuable assets and how they strengthen the school. In the coming days, I will reach out to each of you to discuss this further!
I want to extend a special thanks to everyone who helped with our first Kiwanis Kids Day. Thank you, Grace Griffin, for your leadership and support throughout the event (and of course Augustin too!). Thank you, Nancy Mihlon, for your juggling skills, creative support, and apple tree-climbing expertise. And thank you, Rosemary Gabriel, for preparing our apples for the festivities.
I’m also pleased to announce that we have a new Building and Groundskeeper at the main campus this year, Morgan Wright. Our property is beautiful and requires a lot of work, so if you’re interested in helping with campus upkeep, I’d be happy to connect you with her! We’re thrilled to have someone so dedicated joining our staff.
Lastly, I am always available to chat or support you in whatever you may need, so please feel free to contact me whenever!"
