Welcome to Henry James Memorial School Blue Team! I am very excited to be your mathematics teacher this year! I have been working all summer preparing and getting ready for you to enter my classroom. I have been teaching 7th and 8th grade mathematics for 16 years! It’s my favorite!

My goal is to help you understand math and to become very confident in it! Know that within my classroom, it is ok to make mistakes! That is how we learn. When we make a mistake, or we get an answer wrong, it opens the door for us to learn “why” and enables us to figure out “how” to get to the right answer.

You will be working with your classmates a lot in my room. You will be thinking critically and challenging yourself to create an understanding of math that you never thought you had.

In order for us to have an amazing year, there are a few ground rules so that we can ensure a smooth transition into critical thinkers! Please pay careful attention to these as we will be using and adhering to all rules and expectations all year long.

I cannot wait to work with you and see how much you grow as math students this year!
