Digital Design 1 & 2
Year, 1 credit Grades 11, 12
DIGITAL DESIGN 1 & 2 classes encourage innovation, combine graphics and traditional processes, and integrate strong technical, digital, and presentation skills. Career-related design concepts and use of Adobe Design Suite to develop original artwork are emphasized.
Digital Design 1: No prerequisite; grades 9-12.
Digital Design 2: Prerequisite: Digital Design 1; grades 10-12
DIGITAL DESIGN CAPSTONE is a full-year course where students will develop a creative project related to design.
Students will create work with an emphasis on inquiry and investigation. All students will submit a portfolio that documents artistic processes and shows mastery of the VOG competencies. Students will develop their own personal voice through exploration of concepts, composition, execution, varied art mediums, mixed media, and themes. Students will understand that creating and developing art is a constant, ongoing activity that involves personal decision making. Students will participate in the Capstone presentation.
Prerequisite: 2 or more credits in an art strand, recommendation of instructor; grade 12.
