Checking Students Out

Any parent/guardian who comes to school to check a student out between 8:15 and 2:45 any day should simply park in the bus loop before coming in to get their student. Please DO NOT park in the handicap spaces in front of the school unless you have a handicap parking permit. Parking in a handicap spot without a permit is an automatic $250.00 fine and we don't want anyone to be cited. Thank you for your cooperation!

Parent Portal

If you aren't receiving live updates on Campus Parent Portal to see your child's grades and attendance, please download the app and log in with your username and password. If you need assistance, please email samantha.davidson@simpson.kyschools.us. This app will show you information on every child in your household in Simpson County.

If you and your child do not understand your child's grade, please contact the teacher. Most teachers are first.last@simpson.kyschools.us, but you can also find those emails in the Campus Parent Portal app.

Outside Food and Drinks:

A reminder to our families that while it is perfectly fine for students to bring their lunch to school from home; federal guidelines prohibit commercial food and drinks (McDonalds, Sonic, Subway, Pizza Hut, Frosty Freeze, etc...) from being brought into the school. We cannot accept deliveries (via parent/ guardian or from a delivery service) of commercial food or drinks for students and any orders that do come in must be sent back with the person who is making the delivery.

Student Drop off & Pick up:

Students who arrive or depart school as "car riders" should be dropped off and picked up at school via our car rider line on the "library side" of the building. Please do not drop your students off in the student parking lots or any other location other than this designated area. Only student vehicles should be in the student parking lots during the school day, including arrival and dismissal.

We appreciate your cooperation with this as it helps us make our campus more secure and safe for our students.

Transportation Changes or Alternative Pick-Up Person:

Parents and Guardians: All transportation changes or changes in person picking your student(s) up from school must be in writing. All bus notes need to be delivered to the front lobby office before 2:00 pm, and the note must contain the address where your student should be delivered. We are not permitted to take transportation changes or alternate persons picking your student up from school over the phone. All people picking up students must have and show a valid ID before we can release them. Thank you for your help with this!

Driver's Permit

Are you ready to get your Driver's Permit? Don't forget - the Commonwealth of Kentucky requires a "School Compliance Letter" that verifies the student is academically eligible to take their permit test. Parents must come by the school and see Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Davidson to obtain this letter.

FAF$A Festival

SKYCTC Financial Aid is hosting two FAFSA Festivals on Main Campus in November. They'll take place on a Thursday evening and a Sunday afternoon to accommodate busy families. The attached flyer contains all the details and registration links for our FAFSA Festivals. Everyone is invited to join us for one-on-one FAFSA assistance, regardless of their college-going decisions.

HOSA Regionals Announcement

Any HOSA member attending SKYCTC Regionals in December, needs to schedule their testing time with Ms. Meador or Mrs. Schlosser.

Testing begins Mon. Nov. 3 - Wed. Nov 19th.

Governor's Scholar Program (GSP)

The Governor’s Scholar Program (GSP) Application is now live for all juniors!

The deadline for FSHS juniors to submit their completed application to Mrs. Mann is December 1st.

FSHS is collecting $5 gift cards from local businesses (fast food, coffee shops, local stores, etc.) to use as student rewards. These small incentives go a long way in encouraging positive behavior and recognizing our students’ everyday wins.

If your family is able, we’d love for you to consider purchasing one or more $5 gift cards and sending them to school with your student or dropping them off in the front office during open house or regular school hours. Popular options include:

The Franklin-Simpson High School Choral Activities Department presents A Night on Broadway — a concert fundraiser featuring our incredible students performing songs from various hit Broadway musicals!

FSHS Spring Musical

It’s time to seize the day! Auditions for Franklin-Simpson High School’s spring musical — NEWSIES — will be held November 24th and 25th at the FSHS Performing Arts Center.

Auditions are open to all middle school and high school students who are ready to sing, dance, and bring this inspiring story to life.

For more information, students can pick up a flyer outside Mr. Talley’s door at the high school or outside Mrs. Wood’s door at the middle school.

We are excited to roll out our new App and Website for Franklin-Simpson Athletics!! You can use the QR code or go to your Apple or Android app store and download the app at FS Wildcats!
