The Tascam DR-05 is a handheld audio recorder perfect for field recording, audio-for-video, ambient noise, and more! Easy to use and portable, the Tascam DR-05 does not require an external microphone and records sounds from all directions.
The Tascam DR-40 is a handheld audio recorder that can capture up to four tracks and contains built-in XLR microphone inputs. The internal microphones are adjustable, allowing you to tailor your recording to the sounds of the room. Although not as portable as the Tascam DR-05, the DR-40 is great for recording music, podcasting, meetings, dictations, and more.
The Mackie PROFX8V2 is available for use for the Simmons Radio: The Shark events, or for creating a project that requires the capture of audio from many sources, such as musical instruments.

Our RodeProcaster 2 is available for advanced students to use with 2 or 4 Rode podcast microphones. The mobile podcast board is great if you want to record a panel discussion or event on location.
