Welcome to a new school year! The beginning of the school year is always exciting because there's so much that's new: new grade, new classroom, new supplies and NEW BOOKS to discover! There are a lot of new books and series in our library. Our non-fiction sections have new animal books and new biographies. There are new realistic fiction and fantasy fiction books - plus some new choices in our ever popular graphics novels section. I am always happy to help students find the newest book in a well-loved series or discover a new genre to try.

There are so many different types of books to choose from. It's important to try different types of genres as we grow. What didn't interest you at seven or eight may fascinate you at ten or eleven. Don't get caught in a reading rut. Try a mystery, a biography, an historical fiction book. Make it a goal to discover your new genres of books throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
