Scholarships

• The Financial Scholars Essay Scholarship Contest will award five scholarships up to $5,000 to a Kansas senior furthering their education next year in Kansas based on an essay. Apply at: https://kansasfinancialscholars.com/. The deadline is April 1st. 

Junior ACT

• Silver Lake will be giving the juniors the ACT test on February 24th during the school day. The ACT fee is covered for this one test by the state. All registration will be completed at school with the students. 

  • What to bring: several #2 pencils (no mechanical), calculator, snack and water/drink

ACT

• Register for the ACT by creating or signing in to an account at myact.org. There are many changes to the 2025-2026 ACT so make sure to check them out on their website. The ACT test with no writing and science cost $68. Registration is typically due 3-4 weeks prior to the test date.

• 2026 Test Dates

• April 11, June 13, July 11

Student-Led Conferences

• 7th-11th grade parents be ready to schedule with your students’ advisory teacher to come in for student-led conferences on March 9th and 10th. Teachers will be reaching out with open times this week!
