Senior Conferences

• Senior parents get signed up for a senior conference the week of October 26th at the link below. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090B4FA8AC29A4F49-66569736-senior

College and Career Fair

• Any junior interested in the college and career fair in Topeka on October 28th should sign up with Mrs. Liggatt to attend. We will leave at 8:00 and return around 10:00 that morning.

Washburn CEP Payment

• Due by October 30th! All juniors and seniors taking a college course with Mrs. Weber or Mrs. Womack are ready to pay for the tuition. Washburn sent an email with instructions to complete this payment. This will need to be completed after school hours so students have access to their phones for verifications required. Mrs. Liggatt has a copy of WIN numbers and email address from Washburn if students can’t locate theirs.

Spring Online College Courses

• All students must apply and have their college ID number to enroll for online college courses. Check the google classroom or see Mrs. Liggatt for the forms that must be signed by a parent to enroll. 

• Allen County enrollment starts November 2nd

• Emporia State Jump Start Enrollment starts November 6th

Mental Health First Aid Dates

• The next MHFA lessons for seniors will take place on 10/20 in the afternoon. Here are the topics that will be covered that day.

  • Lesson 3 Finding support: A guide to connecting to adults and resources. This lesson identifies professionals, parents, guardians, or trusted adults, as well as resources that can help you or a friend experiencing a mental health challenge. 

  • Lesson 4 Understanding your ROLE: A guide to using the Teen MHFA Action Plan to help a friend. This lesson breaks down the Teen MHFA Action Plan (ROLE), offering you time to explore and define each step with your peers.

Washburn Tech Interest 

• Any student interested in attending Washburn Tech next Fall (August 2027) should go ahead and get applied at www.washburntech.edu. They will fill program spots by who completed the application first so don’t wait on this. 

ACT

• Register for the ACT by creating or signing in to an account at myact.org. The ACT test with no writing and science cost $70. Registration is typically due 3-4 weeks prior to the test date.
