Scholarships
AES Engineering will award a $500 scholarship based on a 500-1,000 word essay. Apply at: https://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.php. The deadline is October 8th.
Country Weed Directors Association of Kansas will award five $1,000 scholarships to Kansas seniors, with a 3.0 or higher GPA, majoring in agriculture, and attending a Kansas college. Apply at: http://www.cwdak.org and click scholarship application. The deadline is February 1st.
Senior Conferences
Mark your calendars for the week of October 26th. Mrs. Liggatt will be holding senior conferences all week. Sign up for date and time will be available soon.
Apply Kansas
Seniors can apply FREE to Kansas colleges the week of October 5th. All application fees are waived that week for Kansas schools. Sign up for flex time with Mrs. Liggatt if you need any help completing your application.
Washburn Tech Interest
Any student interested in attending Washburn Tech next Fall (August 2027) should go ahead and get applied at www.washburntech.edu. They will fill program spots by who completed the application first so don’t wait on this.
Mental Health First Aid Dates

PSAT for Juniors
Any juniors wanting to take the PSAT will need to sign up with Mrs. Liggatt by September 28th. Students will be learning more about the PSAT Monday and Tuesday during American History. The test date is October 14th at 8:00 am and the cost is $18. This is an optional exam.
ACT
Register for the ACT by creating or signing in to an account at myact.org. The ACT test with no writing and science cost $70. Registration is typically due 3-4 weeks prior to the test date.
