National Geographic GeoChallenge:

Green Guys & Plastic Whale 2.0

Four students completed the NatGeo Challenge. They designed a solution that will combat plastic pollution in our waterways. They researched a waterway, created a map, designed a solution, and created a video for submission. Way to go Green Guys!

Students brought in this baby bird that had fallen from its nest into the playshed. We kept it safe, before returning it at the end of the day.

A few students represented Butte Creek School at the Oregon Green School Summit at the Oregon Gardens.

Green Team maintains an active worm bin to reduce food waste in our school cafeteria. The compost is harvested each year, and used in our school garden!
