This module provides the principles of providing social care and it's important in the work of preventing violence and providing for safer communities. In the context of violence prevention and community safety, social care means proactively caring with communities to reduce risk factors (like trauma, isolation, unmet needs) and strengthen protective factors (like social support, cultural identity, and coping skills).
