Planning Language Use: Case studies in Community Based Language and Identity Development is a compilation of stories from those who have helped communities walk down the community based language development road. Six case studies demonstrate the application of CBLID in 5 countries (Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, Canada, Equatorial Guinea, & Cameroon) across 4 continents. Most of these descriptions are based on the use of the Guide - before the Journey was made available. By providing these examples of real life applications of CBLID in very different cultures and communities, highlighting both its weaknesses and strengths, it is hoped that others will gain insights and help into what might work in their context.
