About the Map Labeler

The Scripture Map Labeler plugin is a part of the Scripture Maps Project sponsored by SIL's Global Publishing Services. It was conceived and spearheaded a number of years ago by Heidi Rosendall in response to minority Bible typesetting challenges she encountered first-hand in Nigeria. With much help and support from Darrel Eppler, Heidi pioneered the use of InDesign's data merge technology for maps, and invested huge efforts in building the large collection of "data enabled" maps that form the foundation of the project. More recently, Denny Emser has made a major contribution in improving the qualtiy of that collection. Integration with Paratext was coded by Steve Pence with technical support from Tom Bogle and Bev Cope
