Program Selection 

1. Q: What is the EGPA? 

A: EGPA = Equivalent Grade Point Average 


2. Q: How do I calculate the EGPA? 

A: The EGPA is calculated in the same way as the GPA. The difference is that the EGPA includes  all the courses that each student should take according to the regular study plan listed in  the curriculum in the first year. 


3. Q: How are ‘W’ and ‘Not register’ calculated in the EGPA? 

A: They are calculated as “F” grade. 

 

4. Q: How do I do online program selection?

5. Q: How many programs does SIIT have?  

A: 8 programs, which are: 

- CE: Civil Engineering 

- ChE: Chemical Engineering 

- EE: Electrical Engineering 

- IE: Industrial Engineering and Smart Logistics

- ME: Mechanical Engineering 

- CPE: Computer Engineering 

- DE: Digital Engineering 

- BA: Business And Supply Chain Analytics

Changing Academic Program 

1. Q: When can I change my academic program? 

A: After the announcement of final grades. 

 

2. Q: How many disciplines are there at SIIT? 

A: 3 disciplines, which are: 

- Engineering 

     CE, ChE, EE, IE, ME 

- Engineering 

     CPE & DE

- Management 

     BA

 

3. Q: Can I change academic programs across disciplines? 

A: Yes 

 

4. Q: After program selection, can I make a request for changing my academic program?  (1st year student after program selection) 

A: After the program selection, a student will be allowed to make a request for changing his/her  academic program  

- across disciplines from the 1st semester. 

- within the same discipline from the 2nd semester. 

Each request for changing the academic program will be considered by SIIT’s administrators and will be subject to the capacity of the academic program. 

*Changing a program may result in a delay of graduation.
