Hi there! My name is Stephanie Schifano, and I’m excited to welcome you to a wonderful year at Sigsbee Charter School! This is my tenth year in education and my fifth year teaching at Sigsbee. I am originally from Coral Springs, Florida, and I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University. I also hold endorsements in Reading and English Language Learning.

I currently teach 5th grade English Language Arts and provide Reading Interventions. I love helping students grow into confident readers, writers, and critical thinkers. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels supported, challenged, and excited to learn each day.

My husband, Frank, proudly serves in the United States Coast Guard, and we are grateful to call Key West home. Being part of the Sigsbee community is so meaningful to us.

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, exploring everything the Florida Keys have to offer, reading a good book, and trying new local coffee shops and restaurants.
