Mrs. Armstrong is originally from Indiana, where she spent many years teaching students with special needs in kindergarten through twelfth grade in Indianapolis. Sixteen years ago, she moved to Pinellas County, Florida, where she continued her work supporting exceptional students in St. Petersburg.
In July 2024, Mrs. Armstrong relocated to Key West and joined the Sigsbee Charter School family. She loves the strong sense of community in both Key West and at Sigsbee Charter School. Mrs. Armstrong believes that while teaching is challenging work, its greatest rewards come from building meaningful relationships with students and celebrating their growth and achievements.
Outside of school, Mrs. Armstrong enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking on the beach, and cooking—and, of course, eating!
