Hello Sigsbee family! I am super excited for this school year with all the Sigsbee families and community. My husband and I moved from Houston, Texas after teaching there for the last 5 years. Before that, we taught in the Dallas, Texas area for many years. My husband, who is teaching 6th grade Social Studies at Sigsbee, retired from the Air Force in 2019 after serving for 29 years. Our son is attending college in Daytona Beach where he is an active member of the AFROTC program and persuing an aviation degree to become a pilot in the USAF. We have thoroughly enjoyed our transition to the Florida Keys and are looking forward to another amazing year!
I earned my bachelor's degree from Baylor University and was a classroom teacher for 11 years. During this time I earned a masters degree in Teacher Leadership and a second masters degree in School Counseling from Lamar University.
I have so many activities that I enjoy doing in my free time. First and foremost, reading is a passion of mine. I also love to be outdoors in the sun, enjoying the boat, water, sand, live music of all kinds, and amazing food! While I no longer have a kiddo in the house, I do have a 4 pound terrier mix, Nico, who is spoiled rotten. :)
I look forward to serving the Sigsbee community for years to come!
