Ballyhoo Lead Teacher

Hello! My name is Meghan Smith and I am so excited to be a Ballyhoo this year! 

I am originally from Pennsylvania but have lived in Virginia, Massachusetts (three times), Washington State, and now Florida. I have a bachelor's degree from James Madison University, a master's degree from Boston University, and 8 years of experience in education. This is my first year at Sigsbee and it is going to be a great one! 

My husband, Adam, and I have two daughters and absolutely love living here in Key West. I enjoy spending time with my family on the water, beachcombing, reading, gardening, baking, and photography.

Ballyhoo Support Teacher

I’m originally from Tampa, Florida, but I was raised in Key West. I’m proud to be a Sigsbee alum, having attended Sigsbee from 2nd through 8th grade! I recently graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in International Studies.

Over the past four years, I’ve spent my summers as a Camp Counselor here at Sigsbee, and I’m thrilled to now be joining the team full time as a Support Teacher. I’m especially excited to be part of the Ballyhoo Class and look forward to an amazing school year ahead!
