Your child will have a daily snack time around 10:00 am. Please provide them with a healthy snack option. We will not be doing class snacks.
BIRTHDAY SNACK POLICY
If you would like to send in a snack for your child's birthday, please email the homeroom teacher in advance. The snack must meet the guidelines below in order to be distributed at school.
Healthy Snack Ideas
Celery & cream cheese or peanut butter
Cucumber slices & cheese slices
Triangle sandwich squares with cream cheese & cucumbers
Plain yogurt with toppings to add such as granola, honey, fresh or dried fruits & nuts
Corn tortilla chips & guacamole or salsa
Pretzels with peanut butter or hummus
Trail mix with dried fruits, and raisins
Vegetables & dip (carrots, sugar snap peas, celery, cherry tomatoes, sliced peppers, cucumbers)
Fruit (Cuties/Halos, grapes, berries, bananas, cantaloupe & melon cubes, watermelon slices, apple slices)
Cottage cheese
Goldfish
Cheez-its
Popcorn & raisins
Turkey or ham rolls with cheese
Rice cakes with unsweetened applesauce
Plain graham crackers with fruit or peanut butter
Pita chips, whole grain crackers with cheese or hummus or guacamole
Fruit leather, natural - not fruit roll up
